When you visit Cherokee, you may want a bit of solitude but you also may want to be close to downtown where a lot of the attractions are.

Poppy's Cottage is in walking distance to the Harrah's Cherokee Casino. At this location, you can hop on the 441/Parkway - The Great Smoky Mountain National Park or Blue Ridge Parkway within minutes. With a short 15 minute drive, you can be in downtown Bryson City or downtown Dillsboro.

What a lovely, bright space! Cozy and light, there is ample seating here in the lovely living room along with a flat-screen TV. Each bedroom is supplied with a smart TV. Pillows are goose feather.

Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties. Great Golf Trip Pad

We loved the proximity of the cabin to Sequoia National. It was advertised clean quiet any well supplied with essential kitchen gear. If we return to the area we'll definitely stay here again.

The beds are terrible - should have been replaced years ago. Furniture is old and dirty as well. Location is great, barking dogs nearby late at night. Half the windows were unlocked on arrival - yard man still there doing???

Convenient to casino, Bryson City, and Maggie Valley

My husband stayed for a long weekend. We loved that it was a 1-2 minute drive to the casino (you could easily walk; it would only take 10 minutes or so, but it was cold) and 20-30 minutes to Bryson City and Maggie Valley. It was very easy to check in and out. I highly recommend staying if you are looking for a place in Cherokee. The cottage is much cuter in person than what is shown in the pictures.

The house was set up more for a weekend stay, not a long stay. Needed more items for food prep and storage. There was no oven mitts or hot pads. Two dish towels is not sufficient when staying 27 days.The internet was almost nonexistent. It was so bad you could not use the tv because it was Roku.It was overall comfortable but would not stay there again.There was no cleaning supplies. Only a small broom and dustpan. No mop, bucket or cleaning cloths. Some antiseptic wipes and dish soap.The cottage could use a good cleaning. I wore socks the first day and the floors were really dirty with no means to clean. Windows needed cleaning. I requested cleaning supplies 3 times, but was never delivered.
