Esta casa es un lugar especial para nosotros y ha estado en nuestra familia por más de 50 años. Con los años hemos realizado muchas actualizaciones en el hogar. La ubicación es un entorno frente al mar de 3 acres, en Cox Creek, que cuenta con increíbles vistas al oeste junto con hermosas puestas de sol. ¡Relajarse en la sala de sol de 3 estaciones y ver la puesta de sol es una necesidad! Se pueden tener vistas panorámicas del agua desde la mayoría de las habitaciones de la casa. La ubicación central permite excursiones de un día a DC, Annapolis, Baltimore y St. Michaels La casa tiene aproximadamente 2500 pies cuadrados, una gran sala maravillosa con 46 'HDTV con cable, chimenea, mesa de comedor grande con capacidad para 10 y cocina comedor. Hay un amplio dormitorio principal (cama queen) + baño principal, el dormitorio # 2 tiene una cama queen, la cama # 3 tiene 2 camas individuales, el dormitorio # 4 también es el estudio de la gran sala y tiene un sofá cama desplegable. Harry and Scott were great to work with and were always available to answer questions. We were aiming for a relaxing, low key week so we didn't stray too far from the house for adventures, but that just goes to show we had everything we needed right there. The highlight of our week was crabbing. Throughout the week we caught over 8 dozen keeper crabs using hand lines (way more if you include all we threw back). We had steamed crabs for dinner or lunch 4 times while there! We took walks daily through the neighborhood, played games, assembled puzzles (that we brought along), and just overall had a very pleasant week. When we did leave the house we went to The Fisherman's Inn (best cream of crab soup around), Lowry's Produce Market (for delicious corn and tomatoes), Sugar Doodles on multiple occasions for ice cream treats, breakfast sandwiches, or coffee drinks, and the Safeway for whatever groceries we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out when they wanted some privacy but there's also tables large enough for when the whole family wanted to gather for meals, games, etc. The kitchen was also very well stocked, I don't think there was anything we needed that wasn't available. If I could make any recommendation for improvement (because I always try to leave a balanced review) it would be to upgrade the mattresses, but otherwise there were plenty of comfy pillows, blankets, and towels. ##### Jen K. While the forums warned us against renting a property across the bridge due to potential congestion, we never encountered it on our drives because we were usually driving in the opposite direction. The property itself was very clean and reminded my parents of their childhood homes in a comfortable, nostalgic way. The weather was less than fantastic while we were there which made the sunroom even more appealing as a way to spend some time "outside" but still warm and out of the wind and rain. The home has lots of wonderful spaces to hang out, read, watch TV, and look at the spectacular view. We also had fabulous canoe and kayak paddles up Cox Creek and adjacent waterways. The location on Cox Creek in Chester, Maryland is extremely peaceful. It is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood and has a lovely large yard! Our 4 children range in ages from 1-15, and the house had plenty of space for all of us. Everything was just as we hoped it would be! The house is super clean, and the views from the pier were spectacular. Many great restaurants within a short drive, and everything we needed was easily accessible. We were even able to bring our small boat, and the crabbing was great - whether using hand lines from the pier or traps in the bait. Would definitely love to stay here again! ##### Lauren E. He has always wanted to see the home which is part of Sandy Beach State Park. We were able to make this happen. I wanted to find a place to stay that would make our visit special. Scott and Harry’s home on Kent island do just that. It is a beautiful place. Quiet, spacious, and comfortable. Scott made it easy to book the home and his father, Harry, was gracious to show us around and make us feel welcome. All in all it’s a great place where you can relax. It was perfect for our visit.
