The hotel is very conveniently located - very near the cathedral. The rooms are adequate - though looking somewhat dated. However the shower splash-back in the room was inspired: consisting of a full wall-sized photo of the cathedral cloister. The restaurant was far from inspiring - trying to exude a 'fine dining' approach in what was little more than a converted alleyway between a variety of buildings and extensions; decorated with an eclectic mix of dated objects and a large quantity of plastic flowers. The same room was used for breakfast - where staff struggled to keep up with demand. The 'coffee' machine on the breakfast buffet served undrinkable coffee; but thankfully cafetieres of ground coffee were also available. Overall - an expensive stay for what was on offer.
