"We were very pleasantly surprised by La Posada. The place was comfortable and well-equipped. The balcony on our unit had a great view of the lake and most of Mt. Fuji, with just a part of it behind trees. I think all the units would have a great view of the lake. It seemed out of the way in the map, but it’s surprising close to many things.There’s a shrine and waterfall next door and on top of a nearby hill is a view that rivals that at the Arakurayama Sengen Shrine, minus the cherry trees....

"Stay was amazing ! Mr Fukushima was so kind - he helped us with discounted lift tickets, picked us up from the train station and took us grocery shopping. Location was right at the Iwatake gondola. Please note the unit is in traditional Japanese style - sleeping on the floor with Japanese pillows (very different to western pillows). Highly recommend !"

"This place was amazing. This was a picked based on location to Mt Fuji and nothing else. Due to other factors , visiting around Hakone and other places closer to Mt Fuji didn’t occur, but we found other gems. My wife and I loved it and so did the kids. The windie road getting there, was interesting, but really just another part of the fun. Thank you so much. We hope to come back again some day."

"Area was overall amenable to travel and the first stop on the cable car. House is less than a minute away from the stop, too. I wish they had told us it costs 200 yen per load of laundry and 100 yen per 20 mins of drying. We would have been better prepared. "

"15-min walk to the main terminal for buses to ski slopes. Accommodation was a bit dated. Comfortable but nothing special. The toilet smelled bad no matter how many times we cleaned it. There was sufficient space for 3 large adults; would have been tight for 4 and too cramped for 5. Friendly staff who were more than happy to transfer us to/from the station and willing to help and provide information. Overall average accommodation."
