This family of three enjoyed a ten day stay and found Relais Bellaria a friendly and relaxing experience. The restaurant was excellent throughout, though I would prefer that dogs are not permitted inside. though the coffee machine was often not working. The gym equipment was quite old, though functional, but the gym itself is not air conditioned and is far too hot. The pool area is lovely with plenty of loungers. The pool does get busy at times with outside visitors but not enough to spoil the experience. We had a Junior Suite which I recommend for three persons for the extra space, though the sofa bed was not large enough for anyone over 10 years old. A double fold out sofa bed is necessary if advertising as an ‘extra’ bed. The shower was small with unreliable water pressure. I mention the negatives to bring to the hotel’s attention but this was an excellent visit overall and good value for money.

This is a perfectly serviceable and very large hotel within spitting distance of the airport. It was 98% empty when we stayed there so had a kind of eerie quality. It’s impossible to walk to it from the airport so you have to wait for a shuttle bus which only comes occasionally. The room was fine. The staff were nice. We stayed there one night because we got a late flight into Bologna, it was a sort of very forgettable experience.
