Couldn't tell if going through renovation. Check in process was a little slow and uninviting. Bed mattresses are very stiff, but the room was very clean and did not smell. Upon arriving I rang the doorbell and was met with my receipt to sign and asked for my ID that wouldn’t normally be an issue but I didn’t even receive a “hi welcome in” or anything at all. We were given the keys to the room went to park and unload and noticed the side door is broken so anyone could just walk in off the street and completely bypass the front desk (not that anyone would notice). Anyways got to our room a notice we need a couple more pillows bevause the 3 they provided originally for a king bed were sooooo thin you might as well not have had one at all. My husband went downstairs to ask for a couple more and once again had to ring the doorbell or call (which he did) when someone came he asked and was met with “no I don’t have the store room key” ok fine not a problem we will make do. The next day we tried asking early in the day so that we could get what we needed plus an extra blanket and were told they didn’t have any. There was no restroom in the lobby (well there was no lobby at all as it was being used for what looked to be a store room) there was no breakfast all of the doors leading to outside were broken and did not need your key to get into those doors. We had to ring bell to summon someone. Amenities listed continental BF ; we were handed 2 granola bars and there was a coffee pot in the room with enough coffee for 2\. The room was clean and bed was great. Pillows need to be replaced, towels were Motel 6 quality and toilet paper worst I’ve ever had. And while Spa was listed, I could not find one. The bed was so uncomfortable and the pillows were so thin. The towels were thin and scratchy. No tissues offered, just one roll of toilet paper. I didn’t get a chance to see much staff. The downstairs public bathrooms were out of order. The laundry room is reasonably priced and functional. The room was nice. The lamps have never been dusted. The coffee maker didn’t work well, it had to have something heavy on top of it to keep the top lid shut. There was no Coffee available. The lobby remained shut. I could tell the room I stayed in was not very maintained. The stay was nice and quiet. All in all it was a good place to stay for the price. I don't know why. On entering the whole motel did not smell very pleasant. Towels! There were two towels, two wash rags, and one hand towel. All very thin and worn. We had to ask for more towels, soap and shampoo. The soaps and shampoo were tiny foil packets. The air conditioner was noisy but the room stayed cool for the most part. The bed was like sleeping on a slab of granite with a pad on it. The bathroom door has water damage because the shower curtain doesn't' keep the water from spilling out, and the water puddles on the floor at the door and bathtub. Maintenance seems to be something they do not spend a lot of money on.
