“A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk.”

“Wonderful stay at Poppy Cottage. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The location is wonderful - very peaceful and lots of things to do. There are lots of walks, bike rentals and Louth has lots of great shops and restaurants. Communication with Emily was perfect. We will definitely visit again.”

“Even though we only had a short stay of two nights the location and the lodge were absolutely fabulous. Lodge is incredibly spacious with all the mod-cons! Beautiful to take the dog for a walk first thing in the morning along with all the friendly squirrels! Would highly recommend to anyone wishing a visit. Jamie & Yana”
