"The White House inn exceeded my expectations. It is located in a rough, truck stop area. BUT, the lobby, rooms, restaurant and amenities were all very good. Excellent breakfast was included. The pool and spa were good, maybe not the best location for the pool. It's in the middle of the parking lot. However, we enjoyed it overall. "

The owner provided several amenities to accommodate visitors to their home including teas, local sweets, laundry supplies, and personal products. We lacked for nothing. 10 minutes from the nearest town and 20 from the nearest large city, we were able to enjoy the quiet beauty of the Maine woods but access civilization with ease. "

"Our stay was so fun. The unit was super clean, and had everything we need plus some. There is no stove or oven, but the owner provides a toaster oven, and two portable electric burners. The owner includes use of a canoe and two kayaks for going out on the lake. We took the canoe out, and had so much fun. When we got back we hung out outside and watched the sunset. There is also a fire pit with wood provided.We were able to talk to the owner a couple times. She was really nice, and she gave us some advice about things we should do around the area. We had absolutely zero issues during our stay, and I would definitely stay here again. 12 out of 10."

The cabin and the surrounding property was beautiful and so fun to explore! The cabin was clean and very comfortable. There's plenty of firewood and all the essential kitchen appliances/cookware. We will definitely be back to this beautiful, historic property! "
