The back door does not lock, which was worrisome, leaving all of our belongings there when we left. Upon arrival, the dock was COVERED in animal feces that had been there for quite some time (not one other dock around us had any nor did we ever have to clean it off again during our stay)and my husband spent an hour or more using the house broom to get it clean enough to walk on. That was my suggestion when the owner didn’t offer a solution when contacted. We then had no way to sweep the house floors during our stay. He also had to fix the entry closet that was broken. The owner refused to compensate for the work or give us a discount on a future stay and said “tell your husband I appreciate it.” It is not five steps to the sandy beach as the ad states. The railing on the deck was rotted and broken. The bedrooms listed are all adjoining with open ceilings and only curtains separating them. Definitely no romance happening. There was ONE bath towel that was damp and crumbs on the counter. No cups. No trash bags. Very limited essentials, so plan on bringing your own household supplies. To top it all off, there is an acorn tree in the yard and it continuously rained acorns, sometimes hitting us while on the deck and keeping us up at night because when they hit the roof it sounds like a gunshot going off, so not very peaceful. Needs work, but does have potential to be a great place to stay. ##### Amy B.
