The best area to stay in Cornu is generally within the central part of the commune, particularly around the main road, DN1.

This area offers convenient access to local amenities and is where most of the guesthouses and a few restaurants are situated. It's a more developed section of Cornu, providing a comfortable base for exploring the surrounding Prahova Valley. Travelers will find it easy to navigate to nearby attractions or simply enjoy the local setting.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find the central area appealing. Many guesthouses here offer a tranquil setting with gardens and terraces, superb for unwinding.

The best time to visit Cornu is during the late spring and early autumn months, specifically May to June and September to October, when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities and exploring the Prahova Valley.

During these periods, you'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 60-75°F (15-24°C), with less rain than in the summer months. This makes it ideal for couples and families who want to enjoy the natural beauty of the region, including leisurely walks through the orchards or visiting local attractions without the intense heat of mid-summer. The apple orchards are particularly picturesque in late spring with blossoms and in early autumn with ripe fruit.

While summer (July-August) can also be a good time, especially for those who enjoy warmer weather, it can be quite hot, sometimes exceeding 85°F (30°C), and will have more tourists.
