We had plenty of room to spread out , loved the location , so convenient within walking distance to the beach and shopping and loved having the pool to swim in after our walks back from beach and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub as well. The house could use some updating inside , beautiful home but we think if it had fresh paint possibly more of a beach decor , some recliners for the older folks and some new couches esp upstairs in the game room and esp the outdoor furniture needs replaced. But overall we had a wonderful time. The driveway had plenty of parking for our whole family as well . The location is the most amazing part as u can walk to the grocery stores , shops , restaurants .. Loved the proximity to the beach and grocery store. I was looking for a completely wheelchair accessible home and this did have thick thresholds to get into the home making it difficult as well as bathroom sinks that were not wheelchair accessible nor a roll in shower. The house was handicap accessible, had a lot of room to spread out for our group of 4 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs, and it had a lot of fun things to keep adults and kids busy inside and outside. The house is huge and accommodated our 11 guests nicely. We loved the layout of the main living area being on the first floor, that was definitely a nice switch from all the other beach houses we have stayed at. Other reviews mention the number of handrails throughout the house. This didn’t bother us at all! We had older people with us and we found them quite helpful. Plus they are tastefully placed and they match nicely. Some of the bedrooms I wouldn’t necessarily classify as bedrooms. One is in the laundry room and the other is in a sunroom. But again this didn’t bother us. The house was very clean and the rental company was a pleasure to deal with. The house is close to the beach and the shopping center which was a huge plus. We would definitely recommend this home and would definitely stay here again. The first day there the refrigerator broke and we had to use an old dirty one in the garage. The hot tub barely moved the water because the jets were so weak. It was like sitting in a hot bath tub outside. The garage one door did the button didn't work and you had to manually lift it up and then the door leading in to the house did not lock so we did not feel that was very safe. The pool table was missing a ball which the rental company replaced the following day. Location on the ad made it look like it was a closer to the beach than it really is. Kitchen cupboard dooes were lose and some felt like they were going to fall off. Pans were not that great, they were old and had loose handles. There was dust everywhere in the house and the one bedroom had a dust bunny on the floor the size of a baseball. A lot of the light bulbs were burned out. The property was very nice and met all of our needs. The main areas were clean and functional. Every bedroom and living area had a TV with Netflix and the large playroom with a pool table was great. The beach was a short walk down the road but the access point near the house was not handicap/wheelchair accessible. We were able to drive 3 miles to get to a wheelchair accessible beach and we had a great time there. A shopping center with grocery store, restaurants, and shops is one block away. The outdoor area of the house did have spider webs and needed a good cleaning, as did the garage and driveway. The house is older and outdated, but functional. It’s a great place if you have a large group and need a lot of beds. It had many oddly placed handicap handles that didn't seem particularly useful, and the small church room was definitely unique. Pros: \* Large dining room table for playing games and eating together \* Elevator for handicapped persons \* Plenty of room to spread out \* Pool table and arcade games were tons of fun \* Location - could walk to beach, food lion, shops, restaurants, etc. \* Kitchen was well-equipped. \* Clean for the most part - a few places clearly had not been dusted for a long time. Cons (minor): \* Maintenace came 4 times during our stay to do outside repairs and trimming. Not a huge deal and we were notified ahead of time, but still made the dogs bark. We were NOT notified when the woman came to clean the hot tub - luckily we weren't in it at the time. \* Beds were hard (but I find that better than too soft) \* Light switches everywhere! Labeling the light switches would go a long way to save time. Property needs some updates and deep cleaning. Misleading advertising of 6 bedroom and baths. Bunk beds in the laundry area with attached bathroom that was the only full bath in the downstairs. Very outdated and strange layout. Old mismatched furniture. King bedroom downstairs had access to a half bath off the kitchen and had a front door. Another front door opens to one of the two staircases and an elevator to the upper bedrooms. There were so many doors to the outside. The layout upstairs was two baths off one bedroom and half baths off a huge game room. Mattresses upstairs need replacement. We took our own linens and we were so thankful because the blankets, pillows, and comforters were piled in closet floors. We cleaned surfaces and used all paper products due to Covid. Found dropped food, trash, and stuff under furniture. Cobwebs on ceilings, ceiling fans, and woodwork all dusty. Lots and lots of woodwork. Needs a really good cleaning, paint, updates, and lawn care. Huge house that needs some work. Has a lot of potential but not what we expected. Just a few blocks from the beach and grocery, eating, and stores within a small plaza, were a block away. When we arrived the cleaning crew did not thoroughly clean and we called to let COVE know. We were notified that someone would be there to take care of it, which he did. Some of the outside patio/pool furniture could not be used as the netting was torn. Advertised that all bedrooms had televisions in them. I know of one that did not have a remote and several did not have batteries. We did have a nice stay, but I think if you were renting out a place you need to go in and check to see what has to be replaced. Walking distance to lots of stores and to the beach. Children had a fun time with the game room. Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and pool area and yard with room to set corn hole boards and kids enjoyed the volleyball area. Kids loved that they could walk to the beach and to the stores. Had a fabulous time and relax. Only thing needed is more cooking wear. Lacking spatulas, can opener didn’t work, need more serving trays and bowls. But other than that it was a nice set and we all had good time and our 2 families enjoyed letting our daughters celebrate their birthdays together at the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day weekend here. The house is amazing with roominess for many family members, huge kitchen, the pool/game room and hot tub were a HUGE hit with teens. Bike rentals up the street, grocery store/pizza/ice cream directly behind the house...walking distance to beautiful beach. Gorgeous neighborhood!! Dog friendly for sure. Few things could have definitely been better. The gas patio grill was extremely dirty & didn't work so it wasn't useable.
