Great Escape!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is incredible! Just a two minute drive to the beach and the balcony faces the ocean, perfect for relaxing. The unit was clean, and well prepared. The tub/shower could use a little updating, but is not a big deal at all. The communications were timely and friendly every time I had a question prior to arrival and the check-in and check-out was smooth. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends as well!

Just ok, did not like the bed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Room was clean but we did not like the bed situation. Did not sleep well due to the noisiness of the bed. One small move and it would squeak. Seemed to be a very old mattress with a foam topper. Additionally, the property had a pool which is great however, we didn't really use it because it looked murky. We have stayed at other properties in the area that are very similar in amenities, size and price and would more than likely stay elsewhere

Quiet and peaceful getaway

We were looking for somewhere quiet to go near the beach for a few days between the holidays. This place was perfect! It was clean, as advertised and an easy walk to the beach.

Perfect Escape

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been coming to Whiecap Beach for several years now. Using Padre Escapes for my rental needs is so convenient. I especially love the Sandy Dunes unit. A few of my favorite reasons are parking is right up front, there is a washer/dryer in the unit, the unit has everything you need to make you feel like home but most of all the view. This unit is at the top of my list when I want to plan my stay in Padre.I highly recommend this unit you won’t be disappointed. Oh just a quick side note it’s on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator but for me I enjoyed the workout of the stairs.

Great Get Away

The Coastal Chic Condo was everything they said and more. We enjoyed watching the waves in the morning while drinking our coffees from the balcony. Walking to the beach and enjoying the pool. We will be back as soon as we can. Thank you for meeting our needs. We always enjoy booking our stays through Padre Escapes. Highly recommend both the condo and Padre Escapes.

Nice Esacpe

Reviewer Comments: The place was very well organized and comfortable. Great view from the third floor. Pool was a bit crowded, but it was also summer. Just a short drive to mustang island state park, which is much quieter than other parts of the beach.

Fun place!

I enjoyed staying at this condo. Very clean, very neat, close to the beach and with a great balcony offering distant beach views. Property manager was very quick to assist with a minor issue with patio door. My boys enjoyed the fast internet too, Thank you! Mario.

Beach Club condo

The condo was exactly as pictured. It was perfect for our weekend getaway to attend a wedding in Corpus Christi. The location was great as it was a short walk to the beach and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the waves throughout the day. The assigned parking spot was close to the building entrance for easy loading/unloading. Check in/out was easy as well. Only wish we could have stayed longer. My only disappointment was the low water pressure in the shower.

Comfy little place

This condo was very comfortable and had a good location. The bed was actually comfortable and the kids didn’t mind the fold out couch. The balcony had a decent view. The proximity to the pool and fitness center was nice. My only suggestion for this place is to get an actual additional nightstand for the bedroom-my husband slept on the side with the nightstand which left me with nowhere to sit my things overnight-I ended up having to use a chair from the dining table during the night next to my side of the bed. Other than that we had no issues and enjoyed our time there.

Nice condo if you like stairs

Lots of stairs to climb for this nice condo so be prepared. Great view of beach (only two block walk) from the balcony. Listing says there’s a pool on property but you need a key and there wasn’t one left in the condo. Extra fees for this property that I’ve never paid for for a Home Away or other short stay property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I absolutely love it here. This was the second time bringing in the New Year at this location. My condo was beautiful and the view was spectacular as always. I have stayed at this location numerous times. My only concern this time was the pool. The previous year I stayed during the same time frame the swimming pool temperature was warm and perfect. This time it was way too cold 🥶 not sure why. One of the extended residents said the heater to the pool had not been turned on. Either way I wish it would have been on during my stay. Otherwise I had an amazing time as always. I will definitely be returning again.

Meeting Desired Expectations

We enjoyed the location, cleanliness, instructions left throughout the entire process. It was precisely what pictures, location and description stated. The beach was very close and accessible and the condo very clean. We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended another day. Only glitch was the door access code after that extension left me locked out, but rental team had me back in the unit quickly. Things travelers should know: 3rd floor steps will be physically demanding for some; mattress of master bedroom is very noisy; patio door very hard to open/close Huge Plus: very close to beach; very clean with provided linens and supplies to clean; very nice AC!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo had a great view, was cozy, and fully stocked kitchen. The couch was comfy, and the location was excellent — close to the beach, walkable or great with a golf cart. But the bed frame squeaked miserably, making it hard to sleep. Water pressure was poor, and we found long hairs left on the shower wall, which raised cleanliness concerns. Parking is very tight — not ideal for TX trucks — and there are three flights of stairs, so be prepared for a climb. The balcony chairs were not made for sitting in and too low for the view. Overall, it’s a nice place if the cons aren’t deal breakers. For us, they were. We won’t stay here again, mainly due to the uncomfortable bed and parking setup.This unit is managed by Padre Express, a business-style host. While they were responsive and clear about what was and wasn’t included, the experience felt impersonal. One towel and one washcloth per guest for a 3-night stay isn’t enough. No spices, oils, or coffee were provided — they claimed it was due to TX law, but we’ve never experienced that elsewhere. Only one detergent pack and two dishwasher pods were supplied for four days. No beach towels were provided. Spare towels/blankets were shrink-wrapped or labeled, making it unclear if extra use was allowed. If we had known Padre Express was the host, we would’ve picked another condo on the premises. We love North Padre and will be back, but not to this unit.

Beautiful view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is my 3rd time renting a condo at this location. This was the first time in the Sandy Dunes unit. This unit is on the 3rd floor with amazing views. My condo was very clean. The ease of renting with Padre Escapes was great. The unit has a washer and dryer which I absolutely love so when I get home all I have to do is unpack my laundry was already done. The condos location is ultimately the best; walking distance to the beach, restaurants and convenient store. This was the first time using the hot tub and it was fantastic since the weather was a little cooler. This is my only destination when coming to Corpus Christi/ Padre Island.

Just a short walk. The beach can also be seen from the balcony where we spent every evening. The condo is decorated nicely and was very clean. Being there for the fourth of July week was nice. It was quiet inside the condo. Never heard neighbors. Everything in the condo worked well. The AC kept us cool. Their was nothing I was unhappy about at all. The description of the property is just as it says. I would definitely stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment is beautifully decorated, it has a lovely balcony where you can see the ocean at a distance. The beach is walkable distance and several National Parks (and wonderful beaches) are within short driving distance (as well as nice restaurants and a great coffee shop). There is not real grocery store in North padre -only CVS and Stripes stores, I would recommend to either bring groceries and cleaning supplies (dishwasher and laundry detergent, trashcan bags etc.) with you or buy them in Corpus C (they will provide you with some supplies for the first days). The Management company was prompt at replying a question I had.

Great stay!!!

It was such a great experience we can’t wait to plan another trip and stay at the same place. The view of the beach was perfect. The pond next to us was great we caught quite a few fish and of course released them. The pool also was in close distance from our room. We had such a great stay we are still talking about it a month later and very affordable too!! I called to the front desk twice for some questions and they were so nice and very helpful.

It was such a nice place to stay nothing bad about it but the fact that we booked it on the 3rd floor. Taking everything up and bringing everything down was the only bad thing and that was on us but the condo was in a great spot easy to get to pool access and we were even able to fish in the pond in the property. We will definitely be using this place again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was very cozy and relaxing. Beautiful view from the balcony. Short distance from the beach. Our family enjoyed the stay. The host team was awesome and quick to respond to any questions. The only thing I could complain about is the bathroom exhaust fan or extractor seemed to turn on on its own during the middle of the night and very noisy in spite of closing the door. Other than that it was a great experience.
