"We always enjoy staying at Vaquera House. One of our favorite aspects has been the breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately on this visit the breakfast had gone notably downhill. While they had the same menu as before the quality of the main food dishes was notably less than before. As a result we ended up eating out for breakfast after our first meal. Hopefully the quality gets back up to before as it used to be delicious "

"I will not stay at this property again until Vail resorts improves customer service and staffing issues. Our room was not clean. The wrapper from the past guests sanitary napkin was under the bath room sink. There were crumbs on the side of the bed. Good thing I bring cleaning supplies to ski hotels now or I would have checked out and demanded a refund. Every day they ran out of towels at the pool. "Not a new cookie cutter hotel, but an authentic carefully managed property with a personal touch. We especially enjoyed the comfort of the lobby where you can use your hotel room card to purchase a glass of wine or a 2 oz shot of booze. The name may be nordic, but I would call it Bavarian. The door in the bathroom was solid wood and the ceiling was wood. The breakfast room was thoughfully organized and the free breakfast was about as good as you can get without a cook. We live in Colorado and will return again next summer."

It was very difficult to operate."
