“A great property in an area where there are not a lot of options. The room shave a very nice rustic appeal with a wood stove to keep things warm on cooler nights. The host was tremendous. Very friendly and helped us hook up an English speaking guide for several excursions for a very reasonable cost. The rooms are very spacious with 3 or 4 beds upstairs and a kitchen on the main floor if you want to do your own cooking. We didn't cook but the place to do that is there. There is a barbecue area……

“They didn't provide transportation to the train like the other hotel we stayed at. We tried to arrange a taxi on our own but the taxi didn't show up. We ended up walking to the train at 7am in 33 degree F weather. Speaking of cold. When we arrived at the hotel at 2pm we discovered there was no heater in the room. It took four trips to the office spread over two hours before they brought a heater. The heater was a propane heater that was almost empty. The instructions said to only use it in a……

“I'd recommend this place for the sheer charm of the experience, despite the lack of comfort. If they upgraded the mattresses and bedding, and made a stiffer margarita, they'd probably warrant an excellent review.”
