Stayed 4days/3 nights.Took some getting used to. 1st flr reception&restaurant are modern, but the rest was more medical than 'spa'. Not what we were expecting, so took time to appreciate. Rooms-simple, spacious, comfortable&very clean. Furniture in great shape. Bathroom had window to room reducing privacy. BUT you see balcony view, so appreciated the decision. We paid extra for valleyview & it didn't disappoint! Altho a little loud at times w/tractors,cows&cars, but it was gorgeous &every sunset...

A nice hotel 15 minutes from central Basel via bus #36. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was worth the money. Note to Basel tourists, this is not a hotel located in Basel but Germany so if you want to get a mobility ticket for free public transport you have to book a hotel located in Basel. The room is very spacious. Tea making facilities in room. The restaurant is in the front and the hotel building is behind. The reception is in the restaurant....

Hotel was wonderful and the price was so reasonable. It was in the middle of a quaint fortress old town just a couple of blocks from the Rhine River. It was super close to the train station. It made us feel like we were living 10 centuries ago but yet the hotel was totally updated and very comfortable. Would love to go back.

Hochblauen has just been newly renovated and it does not disappoint. The new hotel is beautiful in every way. The wellness center is incredibly relaxing with breathtaking views. Speaking of views, you have them from literally every spot on this property. Just beauty as far as the eye can see in every direction. I can’t recommend this place enough. A special shout out to the staff at the restaurant/bar who are all extremely friendly and of course the hotel manager Mehmet who makes you feel like...

Clean, quiet, excellent breakfast, no problem parking. Only problem was did not
have code for initial entry. Another client let us in until we got our card.

This was a secret find! A treasure of a place tucked up in the hills near the Black Forest. Historical charm, excellent room and breakfast. Wellness center exceeded my expectations. Lovely staff and easy parking. Across the street is a nice park and the town square and access to the ruins are walkable.
