"The hotel is great. Big, surrounded by nature, trees, a river, 2 excellent swimming pools and the staff is very friendly. Our room was simply perfect. The restaurant is a joke, a bad joke. They got almost nothing to serve. They dont even show you the menu because 70% of the menu is out. So you will eat what they got, not what you want. Quality of the food not good and terribly expensive."

"A great friendly welcome we stayed here as we had visited Irazú volcano and Turrialba volcano as well as Guayabo national monument. Making a trip from one to the next…. Do not try to drive to Turrialba if you don’t have 4x4, local people told me the road, which I drove almost to the end, was FATAL… anyway that’s just a tip if that’s your plan. "It was a one night transit stay. The stuff was great. Very helpful, even with me just speaking a little Spanish. The room was clean, except some hair in the linen and the light in the bathroom. Dead flies in the light bulbs makes the bathroom very dark. Something to complain about is the misleading description at Expedia. The reception opening time is longer than 4 pm! The since of the Junior Suite is far away from 90m2! It's a regular room with a sofa."

"What a delight to be met by the owner José Alvarez, and then taken with our luggage up the steep hill to our cabin by his 4 wheel drive vehicle. The cabin was isolated and had a fabulous view of the forest and waterfall. The service was excellent and the food was fabulous at the restaurant. Josè is an amazing chef. Minor improvement to the room, there was nowhere to put our suitcases other than on the floor. We would have liked clothes hooks, suitcase stands and a small desk for writing. That...

"Clean, quiet place. No deadbolt or lock from inside so I didn't feel very safe. No amenities like refrigerator, coffee maker or air conditioning. The weather was comfortable though."
