We loved this hotel! We spent 2 nights in the tree house and could not have been happier with our choice. The staff were amazing- incredibly accommodating and caring. Excellent service, location and staff

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Otunna Guesthouse. We came in later then anticipated, and Dinesh, the owner, was in constant contact with us. They offered fresh passionfruit juice on arrival, and made the most delicious breakfast every morning that was probably the best spread all trip. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are good to very good. The pool is wonderful and the grounds well kept. Beware the guides and venders and Tuc tuc drivers at Sigiriya Rock. They will overcharge dramatically if allowed. You need to be good at bargaining in Sri Lanka. (Which I am not but learning quick). Agree on price in advance. Ask hotel manager or staff for help. Don't be afraid to use the bus. I found it fun to ride and easy to catch and a super bargain.

Listen people- this place is AMAZING!!! Like living in a dream, not less. It is isolated from any noise, in the nature. If we only knew, we would stay there for a week minimum! The rooms are so special that I can’t describe- beautiful, air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was really amazing. When you book a room, contact the property and book also the village tour & safari. You will get a great full day package. I will definitely go back there!

Great location

Sudu Araliya is located on the banks of the Parakrama Samudraya. It’s extensive gardens offer a peaceful place for relaxation. There is a very nice and sturdy tree house with a couple of benches and tables. A lovely place for children to play and adults to relax. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive and our requests were taken care of promptly. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with many typical Sri Lankan foods. We only spent one night there but planning...

It was a unique experience in a forest isolated from the world. Unfortunately it rained and could walk around much as we wanted. Obviously not much amenities or luxuries as you should expect.
