“Our Stay at the Little Red Barn Tucked away in the quiet countryside of New Virginia, this little red barn was everything we didn’t know we needed.From the moment we arrived, it felt like time slowed down. No distractions—just the two of us, surrounded by God’s creation, fresh air, and stillness that you can’t quite find anywhere else.The barn itself was absolutely charming—cozy, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful details. One of our favorite parts was the vintage soaking tub… we ended……

“We enjoyed our stay and the location of the property. The hosts have a helpful manual for the property- I recommend looking at it for their recommendations. We tried the Full Bowl, walking distance from the property and it was wonderful! There are several museums in the area that we would recommend visiting. Kismet coffee shop was great. There is hiking not too far away for outdoor people. We visited Indian Creek Nature Center and recommend it for all ages. We enjoyed the space of the property……

“The property was perfect for me and my two kids. We enjoyed the proximity to the State Park and Potters Mill. Check-in was smooth, instructions were clear and we had everything we needed (minus a lighter) but that was a quick fix by taking a short walk to the gas station a couple blocks away. Definitely a cute hole that’s been remodeled and decorated with lots of love. ”

“We had an amazing, peaceful, and private stay—just what we wanted! The location was great and very close to everything decorah has to offer! The fall colors were beautiful and definitely showing off for us. We ended up using the air mattress to sleep on and that worked out really well for us as the back of the futon wasn’t very comfortable, but great for sitting! We were never able to find the trails that led down to the bottom of the Quarry, but that’s ok. We didn’t need to talk to the owners……
