"Staying at Miss Emily's Place is like staying at a friend's house. The owner, Annette, is charming and ever so helpful. In fact, she goes out of her way to make your stay in her city enjoyable. Her staff is very helpful too. The property is close to transport and a couple of local bars. My room was comfortable and clean and it had air conditioning. I really enjoyed my stay with Annette and Miss Emily's Place. In fact, a traveller I met weeks later had stayed there too. A great find. "

"Our stay after a week of very hot weather was relaxing and refreshing. The ocean was awesome and the staff made the stay very enjoyable. We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good but service could have been a bit faster. We had a late flight and they allowed us to stay and use the pool and relax until we left at 4\. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again! "

"I would choose this property again for convenience. However, the stay was average. Furnishings are traditional, but adequate. Some aspects of room needs updating. Due to Electrical Grid issues, power outages occasional, but this is universal in Monrovia. Breakfast was good. I did not use any amenities. "
