"We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. "Er is geen/nauwelijks controle op het park. Er wordt veel met elektrische steps gereden. Er wordt gevist in het zwemwater. De aangelegen stranden worden als privé bezit toe ge-eigent door de bewoners van de huisjes die direct aan het water zijn gelegen. Ze on tevreden. De TV in de woonkamer doet het niet en na een melding wordt er niets aan gedaan. Receptie is maar tot 17 uur te bereiken. Restaurant op het park is duur. De kwaliteit van het eten is dit niet waard. Soep wordt koud op geserveerd....

"The hotel was extremely convenient for me who was going to a concert in Ziggo dome, that was the reason why I booked there. Easy to get to and from city center with train, and small walking distance from the train station. The staff was welcoming, the rooms was excellent and clean. I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to a concert, football game and want to be slightly away from the city. "

"Amazing experience for visiting Amsterdam. This location is literally IDEAL. Outside hotel there’s an outdoor mall that has shops & tons of dining options. 50 feet other direction is entrance to the train/metro. Even went to soccer game at arena which was another 50 feet away. That alone is worth it, but the rooms are truly great quality. Comfy beds, nice shower, breakfast buffet is superb. Tons of hot/ cold options & very plentiful, always refilling what’s empty. Must include the warm hospitality @ this establishment. I was super fortunate to have Reyhan help me out throughout the check in process & stay. She was very kind, friendly, patient & gave the very best recommendations/advice on what to do. She pointed out the best cocktail bar in town & landmarks to see. Everyday she would politely check in w/ me as I passed by to see how my experience was going & continuously offered her help. I was more than happy to receive such warmth & care, I will be back because of her "

"Much better than expected We were quite worried before coming here because of some negative reviews we had read — people mentioned it was dirty or that the staff were unfriendly, and we were also a bit concerned that the place might attract some rough guests. But maybe we were lucky — during our four-night stay as a family of four, there were many other families staying as well. In the evenings, lots of kids were playing table tennis and board games, creating such a lively and friendly atmosphere. The rooms are simple, yes, but clean and comfortable. Every night we went downstairs to play games and enjoy delicious food together. The staff at the pub on the ground floor were especially kind and made us feel truly welcome — they really added to our experience. In most hotels, our family usually ends up staring at our phones or iPads after dinner, but here we spent real quality time together — it was wonderful. Our kids still talk about Via Amsterdam and say they want to go back! There is one small downside: when lying in bed, you can hear a low humming sound from what seems like the ventilation or boiler system in the hallway. It might bother light sleepers. I used earplugs and slept fine. Other than that, everything was great. Highly recommended for families who want a fun, social, and friendly place to stay."
