“The Peninsula is well located, beautiful surrounds, walking distance to centre of Manado. The staff were good, the breakfast very good and excellent lounges and well appointed bar area. The room was of generous size but water not warm. The pool and outside area was enjoyable.”

However, a volcano meant that our flight turned around 30 minutes before we were supposed to land in Manado. We couldn’t use our reservation. “The villa we booked was not available when we arrived. I had booked and paid months earlier and was extremely upset. The gave us a new duplex which smelt of cement and the shower flooded. The TV was not connected. We got the villa the next day and the TV channels were all Chinese channels. The floor was mopped with a dirty mop as you could see the marks on the bathroom floor. The door to the balcony would not lock and the front door took a long time to open as it was stuck. The restaurant...

“Comfortable and modern business hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable, good shower and WiFi. Breakfast buffet has a lot of choice, something for everyone and very good. Walking distance from good restaurants (the hotel restaurant is also very good) and shopping malls.”

“boat was clean and equipment was new and well maintained. Our Diving master Ayub is a great guide.”

“Bungalows in direkter Strandnähe. Tauchen und Schnorcheln waren super. Hausriff war genial. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Personal war immer freundlich und zugewandt. Alles im allem war es ein sehr guter Urlaub.”
