Essential amenities were on the doorstep but there were a number of houses and business premises ‘for sale’ indicative of a declining community. This said, it was a good holiday with friendly locals and a good base for exploring the Orne/La Perche region."

"Astrid was a great host and did everything possible to help us relax. It’s such a beautiful property and gardens (we lounged around drinking wine in the evening), with all the quiet we needed to get away, yet close enough to pretty towns and villages for exploring. Astrid is a great cook, I recommend you book her to prepare your dinner (using locally sourced and foraged ingredients) at least one evening. Thank you!"
