"Best of both worlds, the beach and the pool. Was nice to be able to walk or swim to Tiny's Hurricane Hole. The house was roomy and nice, only draw back was would have been nice to have AC in the main living area and kitchen. We were able to use a fan and force air from one of the bedrooms. The house is a duplex but no one was staying on the other side and there were no neighbors close by.I would recommend this house."

"This was our first trip to Long Island, and it was perfect! The cottage had the most beautiful views, and we spent every evening outside watching the sun set over the water. Debbie and Phil (as well as everyone we met on the island) were extremely friendly and had great suggestions for things to do, where to eat, and places to visit. It was the perfect place to celebrate our engagement, and we will absolutely be back for the honeymoon!! Couldn’t ask for anything better! "

"If you want quiet and relaxing this is for you, seclusion and privacy. Great hosts. Don’t go if you’re looking for a resort experience. This is for getting away and enjoying each other with the outside locked away for a few days. "

"My mom and I absolutely loved our recent stay at Banana Winds on Cat Island! The location was stunning—right by the ocean—and the home was incredibly comfortable, well-equipped, and relaxing. It was hard to leave the house because it was so peaceful and beautiful.The locals were absolutely lovely, and the caretaker, Harrison, truly went above and beyond. My mom has alpha-gal syndrome, and this was her first time traveling with it. Harrison not only prepared two delicious, completely safe meals for her, but he also used fresh fruits and vegetables straight from his own garden—which made everything even more special. His thoughtfulness took so much stress out of the trip. He also gave us several personal recommendations for amazing beaches and places to explore—we discovered some real hidden gems thanks to him.We were also able to safely eat at a few restaurants, including Hidden Treasures and Greenwood, both of which were incredibly accommodating and caring about her allergies.I usually don’t return to the same place twice—I want to see as much of the world as I can—but this is one place I know I’ll be back to. I can’t wait to bring friends and family here and make it a regular part of my life. We truly can’t recommend it enough for its beauty, comfort, and the incredible kindness we experienced."
