This property is location is stunning. The hotel rooms are old and look dated, but my biggest issue was that it isn’t clean. The room smelled dank and the carpet was filthy. I was bummed.

Sadly the most historic and opulent hotel in the Bay is showing it's age. My room was fairly priced and was a great size and the bathroom was above average. The cleaning ladies were fabulous. The check in slower than molasses. My room had torn, worn shades, torn worn carpeting and my sheets were ripped. Nothing can beat the view though and the Claremont while not up to it's old standards is still a great destination when you are in that part of the world.
