8.4/10 Very Good! (875 reviews)
We stayed at one of the studios that are not at Museum Krt. 39, but at Puskin u. 20. This is 2 blocks further from the bus/subway station at Kalvin ter. You won’t know about this at all, until you make the reservation. Once you do, you will get a message that the studios are in their “annex” building. Annex, in their interpretation is not an extension or addition next door. This is not a big issue, except if you are planning on using the 100E airport express bus when you leave, because Kalvin ter will be about 9 min walk with all your luggage. These studios are in an old and quite decrepit building (seems some renovation is going on) where they bought a large old-style apartment and chopped it up into studio apartments. Our room had a jacuzzi bathtub with plexiglass panels installed to keep the water in if someone takes a shower standing up. This panel makes it difficult to get in the tub, because the opening is on the side next to the sink. We found hand soap, but the bottle of bodywash was almost empty on arrival and there was no shampoo at all. The next day we were asked whether we wanted room cleaning, we said no, but asked for those items to be left outside the door. When we returned, we found a set of clean towels on the bed (so they entered the room, despite us asking not to), and found neither bodywash nor shampoo. Not sure how the request could have been misunderstood. Overall OK stay, just there were these little annoyances.

The staff were really nice and made check in easy. The hotel was located near the Heroes’ Square and it was easy to catch the metro to go to other parts of the city. It was a quiet room and the breakfast was delicious.

Victoria was amazing! Super friendly and gave some great suggestions of things to do in the city. Hotel was centrally located and walkable to almost anything! The room was nice, however the WiFi was spotty at best and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but not terrible.

9.4/10 Exceptional! (1,008 reviews)
The rooms were clean and the property well kept. However, something went wrong with the hot water heater in the hotel and we were without hot water for 2 days. The hotel ended up transferring us to their sister hotel (Exe Budapest Center), but I felt like a plumber should have been on hand to fix the hot water heater within a few hours.
