The grounds are beautiful and the facility was clean and well-kept. Staff members were pleasant. We would actually consider staying there in a different room but the white cabin with the thatched roof was awkward and uncomfortable to the point that we left after one night even though we knew we wouldn't get a refund. You can tell from the photos that some of the description is inaccurate (It's just one bedroom and doesn't have a private pool though there is one pool for all guests to share.) but here's what isn't as obvious: 1. The bedroom windows are too small for decent airflow and the small portable AC they added is too noisy to use while you're sleeping. 2. The bed has clear plastic skylights over it so there isn't really time to get a good night's sleep between when the room cools down enough and the sun comes up and wakes you up. 3. The cover for the patio is made of the same clear plastic so it doesn't really provide much shade which is a big deal since your inside space is so hot. 4. You have to leave your bedroom and walk around outside to the back of the cabin to access your bathroom and they advise you to take a flashlight so you can see any fer-de-lance snakes on your way. 5. The cabin is situated on the path for staff and other guests so, while you're sitting on your patio getting a sunburn through the plastic, people might be walking right past you. We've stayed in many quirky places in Central America that we absolutely loved but this room was not okay for us.
