The pool needed attention. It had quite a bit of algae along the bottom edges. It also needed repair along the top edge where the grout line is. We picked this hotel because of the pool.

This is an excellent property with caring owners. The rooms are well-appointed, parking is a dream, there is a great park and the river nearby. Marty and Tiff run the property semi-remotely, which actually works very well! Very responsive to requests and attentive to their guests needs. Scones from the cafe in town were a nice addition. Be sure to ask for daily room cleaning if you want it, try the lounge—which has a very good whiskey collection—and just enjoy!

Very clean property, large rooms

Loved our stay. The Hotel itself is very interesting, comfortable, and of quality. It's location right downtown on the waterfront gives wonderful access to everything. We especially enjoyed our morning latte's and pastries in the hotel coffee shop. A great start to the day. We explored downtown La Crosse, ate at the many restaurants, and took regular walks through the park and along the waterfront. Delightful!

My only complaint was I had asked in advance if I could check in early and was told I could and when I showed up they said I still could but it was going to be $20.00 to check in 15 minutes early… I had to, but it was a little ridiculous. Next time, you should inform the guests ahead of time.
