"My girlfriend and myself visited Starved Rock for the weekend with our dog Cooper. This was a perfect, cozy, comfortable place for us to call home for the weekend. Check in was simple and easy. Dog treats, poop bags and towels for dirty paws were there for us which was a wonderful touch. The house was clean, the shower pressure was excellent and the backyard was wonderful to grill and make a fire. The living room was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Overall a 10/10 experience! "

"Based on the pictures you would think this was a simple but very nice home. However, once we checked in, just from the outside you could tell it has not been kept up. The deck is worn and weeds and trees are growing along side it. Inside, there were numerous things wrong, including a strong smell of cat pee that was in the hallway and got stronger in the bedroom. "This was a good place to stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms stocked with supplies. The steps to the unit needed to be cleaned better. A couple of convenient outlets need to be fixed to work."

"We wanted to get away for a couple days to see fall colors and hike near Starved Rock. This little house in the small town of DePue IL perfectly met our expectations. We had a great time looking at all the interesting decorations. While in DePue be sure to get a pork tenderloin at Casford’s Crossing!"
