The room itself was okay overall, but there were definitely a few disappointments. The top comforter was ripped, and the refrigerator never seemed to get very cold, even when turned all the way up. We also stopped at the small bar area and tried to use the three machines there, but none of them would accept our money. We tried three different bills in all three machines with no luck. I was also surprised to see that the vending machines have been removed, and a 16.9 oz bottle of soda now costs $4. My biggest disappointment, though, was the pool area. Both slides were closed and not working, and from the looks of them, they haven't been operational for quite some time. The slides were a big part of the reason for choosing this hotel, so that was especially disappointing. The stay wasn't terrible, and the room served its purpose, but for the price and the amenities that are advertised, I expected a little more attention to maintenance and for the main attractions to actually be available.

Staff was fantastic, so helpful and friendly. I appreciated the shuttle to and from Amtrak and the ability to check in early on my first day. The only disappointment was that the pool was unavailable.

They were renovating while we were there and seemed short-staffed. The room was great, but the breakfast in the morning seemed short on supplies. Check in was slow as the front desk was closed and they only had one person checking people in.
