Dumbarton Castle Tours

What a great place to stay. We enjoyed the apartment, clean and well maintained. The check in was easy and the location was very convenient for us. We also we grateful for the parking.

The room is small but was clean and fresh. I appreciated that the head of the bed could be put up and there is space underneath for luggage. The hotel location is very central and walkable. We ate in the restaurant Vega (on the 7th floor) one night and the food was great. The dessert tart I had may have actually been my favourite dessert I had in Scotland our entire trip. But...What I did not realize before I booked was that there is no door to the bathroom area. The bedroom is open to the sink area and the shower and toilet each have their own door. What this equates to is zero privacy. The person you are with can hear all of your "bathroom noises" and see everything you are doing in the sink area. Even couples need to have some privacy and this room offers none. For that reason I wouldn't stay here again.

Staff Scott at Front Office and Gregor housekeeping are the best!!!! Made my stay enjoyable
