Top Dynjandi Hotel Reviews
Guesthouse Tálknafjörður
8/10 Good
"The owner (Jónas) was very friendly and helpful, and provided lots of insider information about the people and places around town. Our room was very quiet, which was welcome - but I should have asked for fresh towels, as they didn’t dry fully even a day later and needed to lay on the heater. Warning: the bathroom ran out of hot water by my turn to shower the first morning, so I knew enough to get up VERY early the next day. We were surprised that breakfast wasn’t provided, though the listing showed it as included - but Jónas messaged me in advance so we knew to bring food with us. He did have really good coffee and tea, so could function. :) (This late in the season, one restaurant was down to “We have char, cod, or fish soup made of cod” so this isn’t unusual for the area.)"
Harbour Inn guesthouse
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely property! We never saw the host in person but communication pre-visit was fantastic. Room was very well-equipped, new feeling and a very comfortable bed. Heated floors in the bathroom were nice. Very charming house. The restaurant next door was great for dinner after a long day of driving. The marina and view from the room of the fjord was great and there is literally a gas station in the parking lot of this property which was so convenient. Would highly recommend this property!"
KEX Thingeyri

"When we checked in they upgraded us to a room with a private bathroom. The room was spacious, the bed was big and comfortable and our view of the bay was great."
Hótel Flókalundur

"Great accommodation"
Hótel Ísafjörður
8/10 Good
"The room was basic but clean; extra pillows would have been nice (only one for each bed). However, the dining room was outstanding for dinner. I had a perfectly cooked cod dish, and my husband had a very yummy black pasta dish. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet compared well with all other hotels we visited, they all seem to have a standard selection, which is perfectly fine."
Holt Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Nice farmstead like setting with horses nearby . It’s conveniently located off of 60 with proximity to several small towns. Breakfast was really good and the eating area was large to accommodate many. If you are doing Ring Road counterclockwise, please be advised that 60 is undergoing resurfacing around the waterfall, and this might slow you down ."
Country Hotel Heydalur
10/10 Excellent
"I was in Iceland for the eclipse (which was completely obscured by clouds) and I had decided to watch from the Westfjords. This was the cheapest option in the Westfjords, albeit one about a four–five hour drive from the Bjargtengar peninsula where I was going to view the eclipse. I ended up staying here two nights (skipping the night after the eclipse which had super-high rates everywhere in Westfjords, not to mention all the restaurants effectively doubling their prices on eclipse day) and going whale-watching in Steingríms fjorður from Holmavik which was about an hour’s drive away. The room was clean and pleasant, the restaurant likewise (I had dinner there the first night, and breakfast the first morning), the staff friendly and their (Norwegian?) grey parrot was definitely NOT pining for the fjords (nor was the arctic fox who seemed to show up every time I was in the restaurant). I had planned on using the pool, but got lazy and didn’t bother, but I did do a nice hike in the surrounding area. This feels like it would be a great place to just enjoy the beauty of the Westfjords, although I would note that there is literally nothing nearby, so plan on doing some driving if you want activities outside what’s available on property."
Systrakot
10/10 Excellent
"The tiny house was exactly as advertised. Clean, well stocked with the essentials and very modern decor. The view was amazing and there is a hot pool just 5 mins down the road overlooking the fjord. Would 100% book again."
Hotel Isafjordur Horn
10/10 Excellent
"The included breakfast was a nice treat! The room was comfortable for our family of 4, with bunk beds for our teenage boys. The shower was good sized and nice pressure, but water got all over. Great place to stay in a beautiful place."
