"We loved it here. Such an amazing place. It’s remote, but the signage was good and our driver found it. Probably best to get there during the day. We took a chocolate making class and went on the night walk in the jungle. It is an eco resort, so don’t expect hot showers, which is usually a deal breaker for me. "Great location near many tourist attractions, and the room was beautiful with nice décor and lighting. Very friendly staff aswell. The only downside was the laundry service. I was told in advance on Whatsapp and again at the front desk that it could be done, and even after I let the front-desk person know (twice) it never was done. It would have been helpful to know upfront, especially since there were nearby options. Overall, a good stay, just a lack of a follow through with certain services they "offer.""

"We had such a wonderful stay at Suchipakari Lodge. The property is absolutely beautiful—you truly feel like you’re deep in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by nature in the most peaceful way. One of the highlights for us was the on site chocolate tour. It was not only fascinating but also delicious, and such a unique experience to have right there at the lodge. We also went tubing with our young kids, and it was both very safe and incredibly fun, something the whole family could enjoy without any stress. I also did the night walk with my 5 year old, which was such a special experience. It was fun and exciting, and we learned so much along the way. Of course, the guide was incredibly kind and patient. What really made our stay special, though, was the energy of the staff. Every single person we interacted with was kind, calm, and genuinely welcoming. There’s a peacefulness about the place that feels contagious, maybe it really is the jungle life. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and grateful for the experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking to truly disconnect and immerse themselves in nature."

"We stayed here for two nights. It was just ok. Don't expect anything over the top considering how much you're paying. Breakfast is traditional Ecuadorian food. The hotel is close to all the downtown festivities and shops and is directly across the street from the city's main waterfall. We stayed here the weekend of Palm Sunday. The city was crazy with people, especially outside of the hotel. So, if you stay here that particular weekend, be prepared to be awakened very early (4am) in the morning with hundreds of people who have come to bath in the hot pools and waterfall. "

"Our stay at Samari Spa Resort was truly unforgettable. The property itself is absolutely stunning—elegant, peaceful, and surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. From the moment we arrived, we could feel that this was a special place. What made our experience even more meaningful, though, was the warmth of the staff. Every single person—from reception to the restaurant—was not only professional, but genuinely kind and welcoming. They created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and incredibly comfortable, which is not always easy to find. Traveling with young children (ages five and three), we weren’t sure what to expect at a more upscale resort, but it exceeded all expectations. Our kids had an amazing time, especially enjoying the chocolate massage and the pool area. It meant so much to us to see them so happy and included. Between the beautiful setting, the thoughtful details, and the heartfelt hospitality, we created memories we will cherish for a long time. We still find ourselves talking about how warm and special our experience was. We can’t recommend this place enough."
