This is a lovely Victorian house filled with Victorian decor. Our bedroom was quaint and the bed very cozy. The gardens surrounding the house are lovely and the porch is a wonderful place to sit and relax.
My only complaint is the breakfast. I expect bed-and-breakfast accommodations to offer proper home-cooked breakfast.
Unfortunately this B&B offered no home cooked fresh food items. Everything is processed and wrapped in plastic including the coffee which are coffee pods and it didn’t seem like they recycled those. I felt like this was a chain motel that serves breakfast, which is really breakfast featuring processed items and maybe fake eggs. The only non-processed items are bananas and apples, but they were also wrapped in plastic.
Plastic waste is a concern for me. I don’t understand why everything had to be wrapped in it including all bread items. All utensils are plastic and you can’t pick a spoon if that’s all you need you have to take the whole utensil package.
I think they should have proper coffee cups, plates, and real utensils.
I would like to recommend that that if they are going to use so much plastic that they subscribe to a service such as Ridwell, which will send them bags so that all the plastic film can be sent back to this company and they will recycle it.
