A beautiful boutique hotel — much prettier and posher than the photos suggest. The pictures don’t do it justice.
The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms are cosy and thoughtfully designed, and the gardens and pool are simply stunning. Breakfast is superb — generous, high-quality, and beautifully presented.

The hosts are brilliant nothing is too much trouble and spent time explaining the best places to go. The rooms are of a really high standard and decorated impressively. My only complaint is that although the bedroom and separate living area has good room darkening draperies, the bathroom had a sheer window covering. We could see people walking one the street below through them, so we knew they could also see us with the light on, so we couldn't dress or shower in there during hours with din lighting."

"It's amazing how only two people (husband and wife - they run this place) can make you feel welcome and like you come to the house of loving friends or relatives! They greet us with the smile, showed to our rooms and offered us dinner even it was 10 pm. When was last time you had such a service!??

"Fantastic property. The location and facilities are 1st class. Staying for 2 weeks inJuly, the pool was well used and the option to have it covered when we had a couple of storms allowed the kids to enjoy it everyday. The rooms are very comfortable with aircon in the 2 tower rooms. The nearby towns, villages & cities were stunning and well worth a visit. The snack bar at the end of the garden next to the Dordogne was great and visited on numerous times. A fabulous stay and well worth a visit. "

"We were met by the lovely and efficient Maryelene who answered our questions and made us feel comfortable.Characterful house containing everything you need for a good holiday. The swimming pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all the family it was just a pity that there were no shops within walking distance.We were impressed by the immediate response to the air conditioning having stopped working - a man appeared within the hour on a Sunday to fix it - thank you.Great holiday, highly recommended "

"A beautiful house, spotlessly clean, spacious and with fabulous views, and a lovely private garden at the rear. We had a wonderful week in the house. It's a perfect base to explore the area. We really enjoyed shopping at the many local markets and eating at the house in the evenings, either in the dining room overlooking the river or in the pretty garden. The kitchen is superbly equipped for good cooking! The hosts are very friendly and helpful."

"This is a lovely family house with everything you could need. The pool was very welcome as we were there at the height of the "canicule" - otherwise the heat would have been unbearable and we would have had to stay inside! Fans in bedrooms also very welcome. Arianne was very nice to deal with. Property is 10 minutes from Sarlat and various Dordogne attractions."

The property was more than adequately equipped. Lovely gardens and outdoor relaxing spaces. Thoughtful additions such as bbq.
Lacks air conditioning but provision of fans necessary. More needed for more than 2 bedrooms.
Overall, the gite was clean comfortable and exceeded our expectations. "

"Michele’s house is beautifully traditional with comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen. We loved seeing the hot air balloons pass over most mornings and evenings, there are great bike rides from the door and we enjoyed dipping in the refreshing Dordogne a short walk away. A fantastic area for holidays as there’s so much to see and do. And Cenac village has a great supermarket, irresistible boulangerie / patisserie and a weekly food market. We can also recommend Sawadee, the Thai restaurant. Michele was very welcoming and available by phone if needed. "
