"Really enjoyed my weekend at this peaceful, semi-rural (but within 20 minutes walk of El Escorial train station and 40 minutes uphill to magnificent San Lorenzo de El Escorial) B&B. As in a typical B&B the rooms are simple but very well maintained and the grounds very relaxing, especially round the swimming pool area. "We chose EXE for the location. Train station, attached grocery store and hotel. Didn’t get a drop of rain on us. One 35 minute train gets you to downtown, two trains get you to the Airport, the ticket machine at the train stations in metro Madrid are very poorly worded in the English language was my only complaint at all and not a reflection on the hotel. "
