“A very clean well-maintained historical hotel. If you want amenities such as room service then this is not for you but there are incredible bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. The famous monastery is a couple of minutes away and a taxi drive to the railway is cheap and reliable. I enjoy staying in hotels with a sense of history so this was perfect for me.”

“Our room was clean and tidy with a fantastic view of the monastery. It gets very noisy down in the street below esp at night. The common areas and the dining room are dark and quite gloomy.”

“The hotel is bad need for a makeover. Furniture was right out of the 60's budget store. There was only one electrical outlet and it was at the entrance to the room at floor level. Bed was overly firm. To be fair the washroom looked to be renovated and was good and clean the main entrance facade was modern and inviting but as soon as you entered the lobby you realize that it was downhill from there. Way overpriced for what you get.”
