Every Fisherman's Dream! Located on the beautiful Watauga River!

Fisherman's Dream is ideal for any fisherman, family or corporate getaway. We offer a beautiful lot with wade out fishing, mountainous views and the tranquility we all need these days. Property includes all linens, fully equipped kitchen, washer & drier, gas grill, TV & WiFi, and both a gas and wood burning fire pit. All you have to pack is your fishing pole and personal items. We will provide the rest!

Fisherman's Dream has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed that will sleep 2. The other two bedrooms each have 2 full sized beds that could easily allow this property to sleep 10!

Located just 5 minutes to the quaint city of Elizabethton, you can find great local eateries such as the famous Ridgewood BBQ. If you don't want make the trip to town or fry your catch of the day, delivery is available. The grocery store and package stores are 5 minutes away, yet you still have the tranquil setting of a mountain retreat! It is truly the best of both worlds.

Bristol Motor Speedway is only 15 minutes away!! It 's a perfect way to spend race weekend; fish in the day and race at night!!! Roan Mountain State Park, Watauga Lake, and the Jonesborough Storytelling Festival are also very convenient to this property.

The Watauga River offers the some of the best trout fishing in the entire USA! With approximately 2000 fish per acre (yes, you read that correctly). Trout species in the Watauga River are Rainbow, Brook and Brown. There are also various non-game species. This property is almost halfway down the river. It is perfect for taking a lunch break, refilling the cooler, or just stretching your legs before you continue down stream.

Did I mention that right outside the back door of this property is what I call "The Church Hole?" Fisherman almost always stop to fish this location and usually catch something. You can also sit on the bank and just cast a few if you aren't up for wading in the river.

Perfect Family Getaway
Our family enjoyed staying at Every Fisherman's Dream even though we aren't fisher-people. We relaxed, played football, did art work and my 15 yo tried fly fishing. He didn't catch anything, but had an amazing time trying. This was the perfect spot for us to enjoy some "us" time. It was also a great distance to everything we needed, including Emmanuel Seminary and Milligan College. Highly recommend this as a place to stay if visiting a student or coming for an event at the College.

Location is excellent with a superb view of the Watauga river and close to good supermarkets and general infrastructure. House is very comfortable for a small group of friend or a family.

Enjoyed our Time
We enjoyed our time. Fishing on the river was great until mid afternoon when water rises with dam release. Also because the fishing is good, there are many fisherman who fish this area both by wading and in boats. We enjoyed being close to shops, local attractions and restaurants but we also missed a more secluded location. It was kind of the best of both worlds. Our main focus was fishing for our adult son. We enjoyed the back porch and sitting out there every day. Would suggest some updates on the mattresses. The master bedroom especially was very noisy when sitting down and rolling over. Enjoyed the openess of the floor plan and having everything on single floor.

Great house in a great location
We loved our weekend here. It was a cold but beautiful time of year to admire the river and surrounding landscape. Perfect driving distance to the main part of Elizabethton. The rental was very clean, had all necessary accommodations, and provided an excellent place to relax.

This was the perfect house for an extended family. Grandma and mom, dad and three children stayed comfortably. Location is great to all stores. Cleanliness of the house was greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay there again.

Watauga Fishing Trip
Wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect for the waters that we wanted to fish. The place was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a good meal. Close to stores but, has the feel of being secluded. We really enjoy sitting on the porch or right by the flowing Watauga. We have already book again for next year!

Great area cute neighborhood and truly a place to go if you like to fish
Communication-was awesome with the owners. I had a few questions and they were quick to respond each time. Cleanliness-Cabin was very clean and all we needed was available. Location-You are located next to the town where you have many restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores to shop. The neighborhood is very cute and in the backyard you feel like you are with nature. We saw so many cool birds and the frog, geese, birds and cicada singing to us every night were so relaxing. Both my husband and I on different occasions witnessed a osprey swoop down and grab a trout out of the river. It was so amazing but I was not expecting it so I couldn’t get to my phone quick enough that was a bummer. Watch for deer we had four bucks cross the road also unexpected because you are in a little neighborhood but was so cool to see all the nature around us. Fishing-Make sure you watch for the power generation schedule so you know when the river is going to rise you can find that on the TVA website. When the water is lower it is easier to walk out and fish and will not need waders unless you want to go deeper. We used rubber boots on the hotter days. We caught lots of trout all different sizes. There are other places to check out to fish very close too. We went to Doe river in a couple places and the Wilber dam on the watauga river. The dam has many places to stop and fish and it is connected to watauga lake. On the way to the lake there is a place to fish above the dam. Love this place♥️

Weekend Getaway
If you’re wanting to get away but still be close to thing this is the place. Peaceful water front so you can sit and relax and enjoy the water. Inside is well maintained with plenty of room too. Everything you have in your home it’s here all you need is food or plenty of places nearby to eat. Fishermen you will need to move around to fish or bring your kayak cause of the shallows.

Such a peaceful getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The river was about 50 feet from the back door, you can sit next to it or on the back deck. We used both fire pits during our stay. It rained all day our last day so the deck pit was a nice touch. The house is just down the road from a grocery store and maybe 10 minutes from a Walmart for other items. Very easy to get around the area. If you are into fly fishing this is a wonderful place to stay! Thanks again to the owners for sharing this property with us. We truly loved our stay!

Great family fishing getaway
Our family of four with two young kids enjoyed our stay. The fishing was great-my husband caught 30-40 trout in 2 days! He was definitely a happy camper. The kids loved hanging out on the river rocks and fishing on the river bank. We made s’mores in a thunderstorm on the back porch with the propane fireplace and cooked hot dogs and s’mores over the real wood fire pit the following night. The fireflies put out a nice glow and the kids loved chasing them around the yard. It was a wonderful family weekend.
