Keys were not programmed for the standard 11am checkout, rather they didn’t work after 9am. Perhaps a minor detail, but an annoyance and another trip down to the lobby and back that should not have been necessary.

Decent included breakfast, and rooms were clean; location is near downtown and less expensive than other hotels/motels nearby. IF YOU LIKE BEING ABLE TO SET THE TEMPERATURE IN YOUR ROOM, however, do not stay here. The building is old and my room had temperature control set centrally by the temperature of the coolant that ran through a heat exchanger in the room. Though there was a thermostat on the wall, it did nothing when changed, and staff told me that "some" of the rooms have thermostats that work!!! Mine was not one of them--if it's true that any have working thermostats (I obviously can't say for sure, management may be updating parts of the building a little at a time). The only control customers have is of fan speed, but it's got a lower limit, so if you do NOT want any cold air blowing on you, you are out of luck, you can only turn it down somewhat. I imagine that at other times of year, the rooms may be too hot--depending on how the centrally controlled fluid temperature is set--and if you are lucky enough to hit a time of year just right to match with your temperature preference, you may get just the temperature you want in your room. I made due by opening the shades during the day to let the sun fight the over zealous air conditioning and by using lots of blankets at night.
