Next to the Mosel, lovely spot

Excellent value, good food and friendly, helpful staff, what’s not to like. Having read some of the negative reviews, I was expecting the possibility of a cheap and nasty dive. Nothing could be further from the truth in our experience! We’d go back tomorrow if we could!

Couldn't wait to leave

Dust everywhere in the room, dingy carpets everywhere, no internet (despite the advertisement). Most guests were retired. Great water pressure in the shower.

Grand hôtel bien placé

De passage en Allemagne pour visiter et découvrir ce pays. Petite ville assez jolie. Bel hôtel vu de l'extérieur, l'intérieur est aussi très joli. Une grande salle à manger, un coin salon-bar à l'arrière. La chambre assez grande, donnant sur la rivière avec les gigantesques péniches qui viennent accoster devant pour la nuit.

Charming and enjoyable

Enjoyed our night stay. Staff spoke only a little English and I spoke less German. However staff was patient in trying to help me order food from their menu and also seemed happy to practice their English and teach me German... would recommend the property. Nothing fancy but comfortable and full of character. The house Riesling was delicious..

großes Hotel mit Nebengebäuden direkt an der mosel

das hotel, mit nebengebäuden liegt direkt an der moselstraße. preis/leistungsverhältnis für uns nicht ok. wir waren in einem nebengebäude untergebracht , unterm dach, alles schon ein bischen in die jahre gekommen, im bad war irgendwo eine stelle in die täglich wespen eindrangen und nicht nur 2-3. dies war anscheinend bekannt da man uns mitteilte das da nochmal der schreiner kommen müsse und man bereits "mittel" verteilt habe. konnten jedoch in 2 tagen leider keine besserung feststellen. das hotel bot auch abendessen an. man teilte uns mit wartezeit ca. 15 minuten normal, jetzt ca, 15 minuten länger, leider dauerte es geschlagene 1 1/2 stunden, bei nachfrage kam die antwort das der koch halt alles frisch mache. stimmt, das abendessen war lecker, man sollte jedoch vorher reservieren, dann wird man auch bevorzugt behandelt frühstücksbuffet gut. bei stosszeiten ist das personal ein bischen überfordert (schuldlos) wir waren am verlängerten wochenende im september/oktober da. leider nicht all zu viele möglichkeiten gut essen zu gehen. haben auch im ort keine einzige strausswirtschaft gefunden die offen war

Hotel at Mosel River

Lovely and quiet position at Mosel, Hotel a bit old fashioned but comfortable, large rooms, no hair dryers provided, breakfast buffet with a lot of variety. Everyday a big bottle of sparkling water in the room - nice touch. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating, very helpful with my gluten free bread requests. Overall very good experience

Nice and good location to explore Mosel valley

The hotel is nice and the location good to explore the Mosel valley. We used the hotel as a base for doing the previous. We arrived after the closing of the reception but called the hotel about this before hand. We were nicely received by the owner I presume. The breakfast was good. All staff were very nice particularly one lady serving "kalte Schokolade" to our son every morning. The only thing we'd likely make a remark is the size of the bathsroom and shower i.e. it was very small. Anyway we enjoyed thoroughly being there.

Situé à mi-chemin de la route touristique de la vallée de la Moselle,entre Coblence et Trêves,l'hôtel est idéalement placé pour une étape. Accueil très agréable. Vue sur le fleuve. Le restaurant est correct même si le service est un peu long. Chambre impeccable.

Wandern übers Wochenende

Die Lage des Hotels eignet sich sehr gut für Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung und zum Wandern. Wir waren mit Hund im Herbst (Anfang Oktober) zum Wandern hier. Herrlich die Natur.

Excellent in Ellenz

This hotel is a short ride from Cochem, but well worth the ride. It's in a nice little town away from Cochem in a nice quiet and relaxing location. You can stroll along the Mosel and then head back for some great food and hospitality.

Het hotel is super netjes met een mooie ruime (3 pers)kamer. Heerlijke bedden en ook een super ontbijtje gehad. We komen zeker nog een keer terug.

matig maar niet slecht

Hotel heeft en mooie ligging, aan de moezel. kamers netjes behalve het bed omdat we nogal lang zijn is en twijfelaar (bed) niets voor ons, dus 3 nachten slecht geslapen. voor de rest mooie omgeving, matige bediening slecht georganiseerd en de bediening mag best en lach tonen. prijs was netjes
