"We just came from a wonderfull stay at this paradise. The service was at it finest, and the location to. We were so lucky, that the staff (Susanna) upgraded our room to a supirior, because there were one free. The room was so beautifull - the combination of wood, stone and “farm” style has sat an impression of us. You really need to experience this place. Both the location, but very much the service indeed. Incredible breakfeast, haven’t got anyting near this standard for the money before....

"Our 3 nights stay here was incredible. The owner is open and friendly, warm and welcoming. The room is immaculate, with attention to detail and a complimentary bottle of Vinho Verde. The pool is well situated, clean and warm in the evening. The breakfast is a fantastic spread of traditional and contemporary foods (their daily cake is to die for!). We look forward to staying with you again in the near future!"

Mas o aquecimento da piscina não era adequado, a sauna seca também não estava aquecida a contento, a sauna a vapor estava desligada. "A hotel set in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and the dog. The room was a good size and had a balcony with a hammock and lake view. The breakfast was good, with freshly cooked eggs. The food in the evening was a bit limited; only one choice of a main meal but there were numerous bar snacks and sharing platters. Not really a problem though, as there was a restaurant 5 minutes walk down the road. In all a very enjoyable stay"

"Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain! "
