Before I arrived at the hotel, I tried multiple times to communicate with the hotel via the Expedia messaging system. I never got a reply. All I got was a message to say that I need to fill in the registration form before a password to enter the premise will be given to me 24 hours before I check in, and that there is no one at the premise’s reception. Because I don’t speak Spanish, I wanted to communicate with the premise to make sure they had received all my information. I never got a response. 24 hours before check in, I had still received nothing. For fear that I would not receive a password for entrance, I decided to book another hotel. I’m so glad I did because I only got my combination password to IRAIPE at 2:30pm - 30 min AFTER I would have checked in!!! That is not acceptable. If no one is available at the reception, should you not make sure password combinations are supplied in good time?? Yes there was a telephone I could call, but I don’t speak Spanish. I wasn’t going to risk leaving all this to the minute when I check in to find out that something was lacking in my registration.
Nobody even noticed that I didn’t check in. Nobody inquired from me. Nobody cared!! I am an older solo traveller with a lot of luggage and physical limitations. This kind of service-less premises just aren’t for me!! This premise is only suitable for those travelers who speak Spanish, have little to carry and don’t mind waiting on the side of the road for a password. Not recommended!
