It was dirty and smelly. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. I reserved a room with an ocean view but my view was a parking lot unless I craned my neck to the left to see the Walter. The blinds were ripped and wouldn’t move, plus they were so dingy looking.

I didn’t like how I had to check in on a machine. I prefer to deal in person. We got an excellent room with the best view. The room is huge and has a view of the beach. Easy walking distance to the harbour where we climbed the rock at the end and watched the sea lions for quite some time. You can walk for miles along the beach too

I liked the location and that it was close to the beach, we stayed in room 212 and the fridge made a weird cricket like noice and didn’t work. We had 2 dog with and were charged a large pet fee, which is expected, however the facility was not very dog friendly, potty area was scary looking and located all the way around the hotel which was fairly big. Taking the dog potty at night was inconvenient. No dog bags or trash cans. When checking in on 4/2 at 4:00 the lady at the front was very grumpy and unpleasant. Room smelled strangely and weird noises came from below up when people used their heat or AC. Would not stay here again.

The rooms were remodelled and looked clean when we checked in, but the next morning, we saw a few bugs crawling on the floor. It could be because the room's on the first floor. The lobby uses a machine with live support for check-in and check-out. It was sometimes challenging to register the audio from the machine, and I personally preferred talking to a new person instead of a machine.

Curtains in my room were shredded like a cat had clawed from top down. Bed was extremely uncomfortable "hard as a rock" only good things was that it was convenient jumping off point for my travels in area, but could've stayed at any number of hotels in area

Definitely recommend! Pros: Very clean, well maintained property, that is affordable, and great for large families. Very close to the beach, with three different access points and you can hear the sea lions in the harbor. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and helped any time we had strange requests. Hotel provides enough pillows and towels, lots of space, and I cannot stress the cleanliness enough. Also a great location to tourist attractions. Even had EV charging stations. Cons: If I were knit picking - At first glance everything was ok, but there was a few things that after we settled in, we noticed, like the curtains were broken, there was a piece missing from the tub, and we had an ocean view room but there is an RV park right behind the property, had that have been full, there would not have been a view. But again, highly recommend. We may book again as well.

It’s a motel. Breakfast is very basic, fruit and granola bars. Nothing gluten-free beyond fruit. They may be better off serving just hot water rather than “coffee.” Room and area is dated, dilapidated and beds are noisy. Sleeping on bottom floor significant noise from hotel guest above. Highlight: able to hear sea lions due to proximity to coast.

Chemical cleaning smell in room was so strong that I got a headache after short time in room and my eyes were watering. And for all that cleaner, there was still dirty drip lines on half the outside of the bathtub. And the windowsill in the bathroom had dirt and hair on it. Add to that a half hour process to check in using a kiosk with an offsite attendance who couldn't even answer questions like where is the recycling? Feels like they are making an effort to be efficient, but they've clearly lost the personal touch and despite efforts to keep the place in nice condition, shower grouting to wall, molding corners, etc. show need for additional attention. And while nice to have fridge in room, it was so loud, I just unplugged it. Clearning trying, but just not quite there.

It was ok for what it was. Breakfast was only granola bars and fruit which is hard to actually call breakfast, but worked out to take with us on our hikes in the Redwoods. We still had to go out for food in the mornings. Better quality towels would have been nice and housekeeping didn’t come after 3 nights like was mentioned they would. Overall it was clean and the bed was moderately comfortable. A droning noise from being close to the harbor was bothersome while in the room.

The check in was very awkward as although there were two people behind the counter we had to check in through a "video box" in the lobby. A person on a video screen checked us in. Once we got to our room, that was advertised on your site as "Ocean View" we found the floors and table tops to be dirty and sticky, the security chain on the door falling off, the curtains in tatters, and the wall around the window in disrepair with drywall broken and falling off. Oh and the "Ocean View" was a parking lot... you could see the Ocean a bit if you turned your head and looked to the left...over all not a good experience!!! Would NOT stay again!!!

3 Queen beds in a room Did not like - Check in was virtual with a person sitting at the desk, comforters were dirty, curtains were ripped to shreds, very loud guests above us, ceilings must be thin, bathroom window had to be forced close ignorer to lock. After traveling all day I entered the lobby and spoke to the woman at the desk. She directed me to a kiosk to check in and said she was available to assist if I needed help. At the kiosk I was connected to someone remotely to walk me through the check in process. Not cool!! Even though the hotel was nice I will not be returning because of this automated check in. Also I believe any properties that do this should make it known ahead of time so the customer has this information before making a reservation.

Stayed for 2 nights. The girl at the front desk was very nice to talk to. When we walked into the room it seemed clean, the one big complaint I have is the white see through curtain at the window was all torn up like they were very old. I took my dogs for a walk on the road by the motel and noticed that I had the only room with curtains like this. Also I was told the bed was a queen size and it was a double bed.

I like the ocean view. There is no elevator and the lady that checked us in was not very pleasant.I asked for a jetted tub room and she was like all the rooms have tubs except two and those are handicap which you guys are clearly not lol. My husband is a disabled veteran who was hurt in the line of duty and also had a stroke last year so yes he is handicap but thats okay we did the stairs. Then the room didnt have a jetted tub 🙄. The breakfast could use some work we ended up buying it from restaurants the entire weekend. We most likley wont stay at that hotel again.

If you like to surf, this is the best place to stay in Crescent City. You can walk to the waves without ever getting in your car.

We reserved the room with Three Queen Beds. They are actually Fulls. We were a bit disappointed with that but overall, the room was fine. The internet worked great and the staff were really nice.
