  • Rising Sun Retreat bright and spacious cabin set on the banks of the Skykomish River with the stunning peaks of Mt. Index towering above. Everyone will be sure to enjoy a memorable getaway with amenities such as the sparkling covered hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and cozy wood stove. The 1200 square foot interior features a bright and spacious atmosphere, with an open living room and kitchen space, a large bedroom suite with a private balcony, and multiple decks. Your local hosts are ready to help with your plans and make the most out of your Pacific Northwest adventures!

Rising Sun Retreat was relaxing

We wanted to get away for a few days and this was the perfect location. The property was as advertised. Beautiful accommodations, amenities, scenery, and easy access to the river. Overall the stay was exactly what the doctor ordered!

Overall the stay was great! My only complaints are that the only bathroom was on the third floor, the hot tub tripped the breaker a couple times and there wasn’t a washer or dryer available on site. The place was very clean, comfortable and had an amazing view!

Perfect Getaway

Such a wonderful cabin full of all the amenities you could want or need. The wood-burning stove and hot tub kept us warm and cozy and the kids loved playing in the back yard and river. Wonderful spot.

Great place on river

We enjoyed the natural beauty of the property. It really does feel like you are in a tree house. We also loved the hot tub on the deck. Listening to the river flow was relaxing.

Great location

The highlight, for me, was the location. Cascades towering above, stunning scenery everywhere. An amazing canyon in the neighborhood. The cabin was great. Hot tub was great. All good. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location on the river. Enjoyed several days of hiking and then soaking in the hot tub. Home was very well-maintained and comfortable. Host was prompt with communication. No unusual expectations for check-out. We did not use the second bedroom not connected to the house. Close to restaurants in Gold Bar.

Awesome

This was such great place to stay. The area where cabin is was so great and quiet. There is only one cabin that is right next to it (it's partially separated by trees, so not big deal). The areas around the cabin are great, it's not far from the city yet far enough out you can visit a lot of the mountain areas/towns. Would def stay here if visiting again for sure.

We really liked the cabin and river view. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great. Had a big storm with power outage overnight and next morning. We did build a fire to stay warm and used the tea kettle on the wood stove to boil water for coffee!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Only complaint would be some cobwebs in the bath and kitchen could use a few more additions like foil/baggies for take home. Otherwise lovely home and peaceful and tranquil setting

Favorite Spot

We love love love this cabin. It has all the amenities you need and is so comfortable. We got lucky and had a few rainy nights, sleeping in the bedroom upstairs is so wonderful with the rainfall and the rushing river. A must if you're visiting the Cascasdes!

Perfect cabin

The rising sun was exactly what we were looking for. It was very clean and comfortable. Being able to sit out on the deck and look at the river was so relaxing. It was raining for our entire stay so we'll definitely be booking it again in the spring/summer so we can take advantage of everything the cabin has to offer.
