8.2/10 Very Good! (15 reviews)
We stayed for 11 nights in a swim up room. The room was quite small, considering it could sleep 4. The decor is a bit dated and lacks what I consider ‘deluxe’ from a hotel.
Having direct access to a private pool area is a beneficial - I would recommend asking for rooms 102-105 as these rooms have sun all day.
For an all inclusive the food was good. There was a lot of different things on offer each evening and was hot throughout. The breakfast was great - continental and traditional hot British ‘fry up’ food on offer.
The snack bar was ok, but slightly basic. I was told this was recently changed, slimmed down and I would suggest they revert that back. Drinks were good - house spirits but plenty on offer including spirits.
Location wise it is about 20minutes walk from the main strip, although it does have its only little high street just outside the hotel. Beach is about a 15 min walk.
What makes this hotel very special isn’t the food, location or amenities - it’s the staff. The staff are fantastic. Friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in improving your holiday (where they can) they play with children, offer conversation and check in throughout - without their staff, this hotel is a 3 star, with them, it’s closer to 5. I would happily return to Planos Deluxe.
