"Very short overnight stay as landing late at Faro airport. Self check in to a very comfortable room with a great shower. Staff were extremely friendly and a lovely portuguese breakfast was provided. It has a hostel type feel which we really liked and would be a great place to launch your algarve adventures from."

"We chose this hotel due to proximity, as we arrived by train, and wanted to be able to walk everywhere downtown. We were fortunate to stay at this modern, clean, bright property for 5 nights. We checked in with super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Each day we passed through the lobby multiple times as we went out to explore Faro and the surrounding beautiful district. We often stopped by the front desk for an inquiry, recommendation, or just to visit and joke for a minute. Staff went above and beyond, and soon felt like friends. The pool is clean and refreshing. The 24 hr free coffee/latte/hot chocolate etc machine was another bonus. Our kitchen was well stocked, and despite the MANY nearby and delicious restaurants, it's always nice to have the option of preparing a meal as well. I would encourage you to enjoy Roots Hotel when in Faro."

"A very welcoming, basic but quaint (has all you'll need for a night or 2) easy place to stay, before flying home from Faro. An easy 10 min walk from the airport with a supermarket pretty much next door. The hotel has friendly, helpful staff and the double room was decent and clean, with a clean bathroom and good shower and a balcony. It even has a pool! Recommended! "
