"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. "Friendly helpful staff. Food was very good for this star rating. Lovely cooked breakfasts and evening meals. All areas were clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom required updating but on the plus side loads of hot water. We stayed for a long weekend and due to hot weather needed the bedroom window open overnight. The street noise was pretty bad. On a positive note great location for all York has to offer. Very pleasant stay."

"Perfectly located right by the train station for rail links and also a very short walk into the beautiful city centre. The hotel is stunning inside and out. Our room was clean but sadly the air con had a mind of its own and would almost “flush” every hour, which woke me every hour in the night, that combined with the vibration of the fridge in the wardrobe, it wasn’t the best nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious and fresh."
