Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue.
The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk.

"The Villa was just perfect! It was so beautiful and cozy. It gave off such a wonderful authentic and homey vibe. The owners were in contact with us before arrival to make sure we found the place easily, were there to greet us, and made us feel welcome. I wish we stayed longer!! "Had a great stay at this hotel with 2 children. Super quiet air conditioned rooms with comfortable beds, coffee machine and separate toilet and shower room which was useful with 4 people in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location just across the road from the Eurostar station and a huge shopping centre with all the tourist sights within walking distance. "I really enjoyed our three nights at Getaway. First, it was easy to get to from Gint Saint Peters and also from Gent Dampoort train stations. It was really quiet our whole stay and the kitchenette was helpful. The place is really close to downtown and we got a lot of walking in to all the sites in Ghent. There isn't AC but we didn't really notice there is a fan that we used and the room did not get any direct sun. lastly, the lockers were helpful because we arrived before our check in time and we didn't waste any time seeing Ghent.
