"Great place! - we traveled for business, and it was only me staying overnight - not a planned vacation, just a last-minute arrangement - but so surprised at the beauty of the surroundings; the endless beach, the clear ocean so pristine and quiet - and the inn staff was so very pleasant - room was impeccably clean, quiet, just the birds - there is a restaurant right adjacent with fresh sea food, I did not have the time to check it out but it looked lively (next time) over all it was a surprised finding! "From our "Point of View" this is one of the most wonderful homes in all of Maine. From the beautiful home to the unbelievable views to the dock on the bay to the kayaks to the basement game room to the solo stove firepit and hot tub and sauna to the amazing Reid State Park beach up the road to the authentic and delicious Five Islands Lobster Pound 5-minutes away.... we couldn't have asked for anything more for our family vacation to Maine.... we even cooked mussels that we harvested off the dock with a recipe shared by our host, Jill! Jill was super responsive to our questions and text messages and her attention to details and hospitality practically made us feel like family. We didn't want to leave and are already planning our return to the wonderful Georgetown Island! Thank You, Jill! "

"The property easily accommodates 4 adults and 2 kids under 10. Marty is friendly and he is responsive within a very, very short period of time for questions or concerns. The location is close to Popham beach, Totman beach and many other locations, including Sebago Resort (a 5 minute walk), Bath and Brunswick. It is a no-frills house, but extremely comfortable. Our family has stayed there for a week 2 years in a row and intend to return for 2 weeks next summer."

"I’ve seen this beach house advertised for years and last year my husband and finally booked it for three nights last September and I fell in love! Not only with the cottage but its beach. I grew up in the 70’s and my grandmother and I would take her camper and stay at the camp site on popham beach. That’s where my love for popham began! Back when I was little there was an ice cream shop right in the beach!! It got washed away a few times in my childhood but it always returned. So sad it is no longer there. Anyway, yes I recommend this cottage and loved it so much my daughter and I stayed in June for three nights. This will always be my go to spot for vacation!! Thank you so much for your hospitality! Communication with the manager was great and responses were quick and helpful! Thanks again! "

"The cottage was very comfortable and well-stocked for our week. We did not need to bring anything beyond personal items and food for our stay. Having perfect weather was the icing on the cake!! And the beach is as beautiful as ever. One of our favorjte places. Thank you for a great week."

"This cozy cottage is in the beautiful town of Phippsburg, next to the break-taking beach of Popham State Park. With its site on the ocean shore, the sound of waves soothes your soul, and the beach lends all kinds of opportunities for exploring both at low tide and high tide. Our host and hostess were very responsive to our needs, and my daughter and I greatly enjoyed out stay."

"It literally felt like I was invading someone’s room. There was a dirty paint bucket in the kitchen sink, a garbage bag with a lantern in it on the bed with other things that didn’t belong on it, then someone’s shoes in the middle of the room when I walked in. Oh and the so called wall in between the gallery and your private space? They’re SHUTTERS! You can slide a phone between the door cracks to record!!!!! The floor was filthy! There was sawdust all over the rug and near the bed. Then when I wanted to take a shower before bed there were only dirty, used towels hanging on the back of the door and a used Facecloth by the sink. There was nicely a new toothbrush.The bed was cozy.In the morning the coffee pods were fine but the sugar was old and clumped. I’ve never taken the time to go into this much detail to forewarn someone before booking but their listing isn’t transparent so someone should be! "
"We rented this property for the week of Thanksgiving to celebrate our daughter’s 16th birthday and have a family Thanksgiving meal together. What a lovely week we had! Even the rainy days were nice. The house is comfortable and in such a great location. Beautiful views out of all the windows. "

"We were looking for a nice weekly stay directly on Popham beach to enjoy some solitude before the family joined us for Thanksgiving. If you've ever walked Popham Beach, you'll recognize this house. It is a beautiful new home with beach front decks and porches. The open floor plan was perfect and you could hear the waves crashing on the beach. Just wonderful. The kitchen is well outfitted, including a countertop french door convection oven, crockpot, large pot for lobsters and all the cooking items you would need. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels, nice linens and a washer & dryer. We walked the beach every day and the views and location cannot be beat!"

"We enjoyed our stay at grand view. It was a lovely place. Plenty of room for the whole family. Kitchen was well stocked with any pan,pot,bowl ,etc. that you may need.
Wonderful view of the lighthouses and fort Popham. Very quiet road, so it was safe for the kids to walk down to the point to fish.
We would definitely stay again. The only thing we missed was a washer and dryer."
