Outdoor enthusiasts, kayakers, bikers and bird watchers....we have a hidden secret to share! It's called the Airfield Falls Trailhead. Less than 5 minutes away and gives access to walking and biking trails as well as access to drop your personal kayak (no rentals available). The scenery is breathtaking....weeping willow trees, waterfalls, benches and places to throw out a picnic blanket (picnic cooler and blanket provided at the Hacienda). THINGS TO DO: Airfield Falls Trailhead & Conservation Park 200 Pumphrey Dr., Westworth Village, TX 76114 Tarrant County’s largest natural waterfall. Situated just 1.5 miles from the Sunset Hacienda, the park offers visitors a serene escape into nature. This park is a best kept secret and while parking is limited - the crowds are usually minimal most times of the year. Its a great place to take pictures! • Waterfall: The park’s main attraction is its 15-foot waterfall, which cascades in two sections, providing a picturesque setting for visitors. • Trails: A short, paved trail of approximately 0.25 miles leads directly to the waterfall. For those seeking a longer walk, there’s a 1.9-mile out-and-back trail that is generally considered easy and takes about 36 minutes to complete. • Wildlife: The area is home to native wildlife and serves as a habitat for monarch butterflies during their migration periods. • Historical Significance: Adjacent to the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, the park features parts from a McDonnell Douglas C-9 aircraft, honoring the area’s aviation history. Apr 19, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Beautifully Decorated & Cozy Our family of 8 enjoyed our stay at Sunset Hacienda. The decor is gorgeous and it was very cozy. It was close to everything. We have a daughter at TCU so it was perfect to visit her and also go to the stockyards. We found great restaurants nearby. We also walked to the park with our 4 year old which was one of the best parks we’ve been to. Bonus, we got to see a blue Angels plane on the way there. Our host Jenna, was easy to communicate with when we had questions. We would stay here again! If I had to criticize anything is that I wish there was more than 2 bathrooms and we wish the pool was heated. But that wouldn’t keep us from staying there again. Thank you ##### KJM M.
