Great time at the Cottages By The Sea. Nice quiet beach thats kept clean. Crystal turquoise water on soft sand. Right next to Sandcastle on the Beach which has a great restaurant. Only got house keeping 3 days in 7 nights / 6 days but there was Veterans day and ome day that house keeping the guest info book said they got off. Carmen did a great job those three though :) full modern kitchen that had all the right pots, pans, dishes etc to make half our meals there! Quick walk in to town but just far enough away to be a peaceful oasis without a lot of traffic. All in all could NOT have found a better place for a relaxing get away.

We loved this cozy place steps from the ocean. Great snorkeling right on our beach and even better down by the pier. There was a turtle nest on our beach, a baby octopus in the water and we also saw dolphins. 🎉Cottages has bikes you can borrow, which we did often and rode into town to scuba, snorkel, shop and eat. They also provide kayaks, games, books, beach chairs and umbrellas. The staff were all helpful and everyone was just super nice. This side of the island is a little sleepier than the east side, which is exactly how we like it. It almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We stayed in Caribe, which seemed like the best spot on the property as far as proximity to be beach. We grilled steaks a couple of times and ate on our patio. The only things that could have made our experience even better would be not allowing smoking on the property. Our neighbor would sit on her patio and smoke while we were eating dinner outside and we had to leave our windows facing her closed so it didn’t get into our place so easily. When a big storm came through, we could smell cigarettes in our bathroom. Maybe that doesn’t bother everyone, but it’s not for us. Also, the beach chairs could use a little more love. There are plenty of chairs, but most of them are worn and the bars push into your body. This was our first trip to St. Croix and we feel lucky that we chose the perfect place to stay. Thank you, Cottages!

Pleasantly surprised!
Needing an "adequate" place to stay for our last five days on the island, we reserved here. All our guests had returned home and we wanted to relax before returning to reality. We had previously been staying in privately rented homes with a pool and/or on the beach. Upon arrival at Cottages by the Sea, we were warmly greeted and escorted to "Coconut" cottage. What a surprise! The location provided a wonderful ocean view from a very comfortable porch complete with sofa and convenient table. Inside was all newly decorated, from the fully equipped kitchen to the sizable 2-sectioned bathroom with double vanity and walk in shower. All the comforts one could ask for and just a short walk to an amazing beach. The water was gloriously blue and warm. The only problem was the lack of sand taken by Hurricane Maria. This did make it a little tricky avoiding rocks when entering for a swim. But, the sand seems to be coming back daily! Everyone was so friendly including the guests. It was quiet, relaxing and perfect for our remaining vacation. We will be back!

My husband and I recently stayed at The Cottages By The Sea in the Coco Palm for our 10 year anniversary trip. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. We arrived on a late flight and when we arrived to check into the hotel we were greeted by Paul, one of the owners. Paul was very friendly, walked us to our room and answered all the questions we had. They program the doors with a code of our choosing so we didnt have to ever worry about a key which was AWESOME! When we got into the clean and spacious room, the AC had already been turned on so the room was nice and cool. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes etc. We went to the grocery store the next day (be prepared for very expensive grocery prices) and stocked our refrigerator with breakfast, lunch and snacks. We ate at the restaurant next door, The Cafe at Sandcastles and it was delicious! The seafood was fresh and their Sunday brunch was very good. We loved sitting on our front porch, rocking in our chairs and either drinking our coffee or a cocktail in the evenings and watching the ocean. The view from the porch is great! The ocean was very calm and the hotel offers sunblock, bug spray and floats to enjoy the beach and ocean. Sandy at the front desk, offered tours of un-booked rooms to friends staying next door and I do think they will be booking with Cottages By The Sea for future trips. They were very impressed by the hotel, just like we were! We cant wait to go back!
